HEALTH CARE CLINICS

Free Clinics

Pakistan faces a dire shortage of quality healthcare which is affordable and accessible to our masses. Many precious lives are lost on a daily basis, simply due to people’s inability to reach a hospital or clinic early enough for any kind of medication intervention to help them.  In 2018, Taryaq decided to address this issue and play an active role to alleviate the sufferings of the less fortunate by setting up a free medical camp in the city of Lahore.

Taryaq Welfare Clinic at Greentown Lahore was established in 2018 with the help of our valued patrons who gave their wholehearted support to this noble cause.

For a nominal fee of just Rs. 50, we provide detailed medical checkup and medicines to a daily average of 100-150 patients.

Our aim is to provide quality healthcare to deserving patients and welcome them with respect and dignity. For this purpose, we have a team of qualified doctors who run the operations of the clinic and perform the following procedures:

We are currently collecting funds to establish a network of such clinics in multiple locations of Lahore and other cities of the country.

Thalassemia

According to statistics, more than 1,000,000 people in Pakistan suffer from Thalassemia and approximately 5000-6000 children are born with Thalassemia Major every year. Thanks to the tireless efforts of NGOs like Fatmid and Sundas, who have been providing services to the country’s thalassemia community for decades, it is not challenging for patients and their families to find blood bottles for transfusion. Consequently, the main challenge that patients face is the arrangement of ample funds to cover the expense of medicines and diagnostic testing. The average medical expense of a single patient suffering from thalassemia major amounts to PKR 10,000 to 15,000 per month. For most families, this is quite a hefty amount of money that has to forked out on a regular basis, year after year, due to the nature of the disease. Many lose hope and funds during this long battle and stop treatment. Alhamdulillah, we are extremely proud to share with you all that Taryaq has been sponsoring the monthly medication of 20 deserving children since 2014. And God willing, we plan to increase these numbers in the future.
